are there certain folders it is better to exclude? in my case i would use time machine for file backup, not for system restore so certain things i don't need, for example

~/applications
~/library/caches
/system/library/caches

are the cache folders automatically excluded? and seeing as apps either came with the install of the os or were installed somehow, i don't need them for just a file recovery. any other folders that may as well be excluded?

cheers

Because I only want to INCLUDE two folder, I must EXCLUDE over a dozen. Silly Apple Inc. And what's with this stupid tiny non-resizable window?? Reminds me of Windows:

i exclude everything but my home folders music, documents, photos.

everything else is bye bye :)

oh , and desktop. which stinks because i have a 30GB Disk image, that gets new stuff quite often. Id like TM to back it up, but to just keep overwritting itself, which it doesnt do.
