Recovering Serial Numbers

Hello all,
I can't find several boxes of software, containing serials numbers and discs, so I can install those programs on my new Mac. I was wondering if there is a way to recover the serial numbers off of my old Mac. Can anyone help me?

AS long as the software is legally yours

Open the program on the old mac, choose About this (program), the serial number may appear

Otherwise, contact the company with the name and address you licensed it with, they should be able to help
