I’m using OS X 10.4.11. Software Update says “Your software is up to date”. My network is Airport Express Base Station V5.7.

I enabled Stealth Mode.
System Preferences > Sharing > Firewall > Advanced > Enable Stealth

Shields UP!, http://www.grc.com, shows only 9 stealth ports. The balance of the 1056 TCP ports are closed, but not stealthed.

What’s going on? Shouldn’t all ports be stealthed?

Now I See

Ahhh! So an "intruder" can be mucking around, but they haven't even breached my security at the Airport level.

I feel better now.

Many thanks,

Michael
