Spare HDD With Vista On It.

I have a spare laptop HDD with Vista on it and was wondering if i put it in my macbook would it work properly.

In that case I would buy a cheap USB 2 Parallel ATA enclosure and use it for storage

Oh well.
I might try it on my uncles MacBook that had HDD failure and he never got around to fixing it(so i don't screw mine one up if it works i'll use it on mine and get back to you guys.
