About VLC(app) bugs(help!)

MacBook 15' T7200 1GRAM 80G White
I used VLC to play .mkv media form(720p) but it ran just few seconds,then turned down automatically by itself~:Grimmace:
Anybody can help to deal with it or suggest me some good tools to play .mkv form

White MacBook 1.83GHz 120GB Leopard and XP
I suggest you try the VLC forums, as it this is probably an issue with VLC and not your Mac
