How do I make a DVD not automatically open DVD Player

Your Mac's Specs
Macbook: 2.16 CPU/2GB RAM
I use a another program, and it can be sort of time consuming that I have to wait for DVD player.app to load up. Like a system pref that I could change thanks.

iBook G4 OSX Tiger
In System Preferences click on CDs & DVDs. It has a drop down menu where you can choose which program to open when you insert various discs.

yes, but the OS will no do anything with it until you choose what to do.
