My 20" imac Intel will not sleep. It goes into sleep mode for about 5-10 seconds and then comes back on. It also freezes when powering down about half the time. I already re-installed the OS (10.4) and that did nothing. Anyone have an idea of what's wrong?

Sometimes it comes back on if a background application suddenly becomes active.
