I've hooked up my iMac to my TV (using an Apple mini DVI to VGA adapter and a 5 metre VGA extension cable) but I'm getting some 'ghosting'* that looks very similar to what you used to get if your TV reception wasn't perfect. Is there a kind and knowledgeable soul out there who might know why this is happening? I've read up a little on the problem and it seems it should only really occur with RF signals, although 'mismatched impedance along the communication channel' (whatever that means!) could also be the cause. Any and all advice would be much appreciated.
btw, the TV's a 1080p 40in Samsung, if that helps!
* by ghosting I mean the picture suffers from a very faint duplication of itself, laid over and slightly offset from the proper image.
