Hi all

I am a new Ma user and am looking for an inexpensive (ie free or open source) graphics program for Mac that allows me to create basic graphics/logos etc.

Does anyone have any recommendations?

Thanks!

Photoshop elements is the best way to go... it often comes bundled with other software.

Well are you wanting it for long term or short term?
If you are wanting to test one out or just use it for one simple picture you could try the Photoshop CS3 trial witch is 30 days... but if your wanting one for long term that is obviously not for you at that price! :D

I know I just posted this somewhere else on M-F, but I can't seem to find it quickly. So, here is a list I have assembled of graphics programs for the Mac:

Photoshop Elements
Photoshop CS2

GraphicConverter (http://www.lemkesoft.com/xd/public/c...lkPTE5Mw_.html)

GIMP (www.gimp.org)

ImageWell (http://xtralean.com/IWOverview.html)
ChocoFlop (http://www.chocoflop.com)
PhotoComplete (www.funkypixels.com)
Seashore (http://seashore.sourceforge.net)
Pixelmator (http://www.pixelmator.com)
Acorn (http://flyingmeat.com/acorn)

LiveQuartz (http://www.rhapsoft.com)

...and of course...

iPhoto (which has quite a nice set of editing tools)
