For some reason all of a sudden, everytime I put my flash drive into the back of my iMac the iPhoto application will start.

No idea how it's started, but does anyone know how I can stop it?

Anyone able to help me out with this?

It only ever occurs when I put the flash drive into my iMac, never my Macbook Pro...

Look in the preferences in Image Capture. That is where preferences for opening iPhoto appear. It may be seeing your drive as a camera, so if you have your preferences set to open iPhoto when a camera is connected, it would also open iPhoto when your drive is connected. Make sure the settings are the same for your iMac as your MBP and you should be good to go.
