reinstalling Leopard

Hi.
If I reinstall my Leopard, can I choose new name and shortname?
I messed up while I change my shortname
Please let me know.

P.s can I just put disk that came with the box, and follow the instruction when I reinstall them?

what do you mean by shortname & new name?? Do you mean the username or the machinename??

Yes for installation you have to just put the install disc and boot from the disc pressing C when you hear the startup chime.
