garage band and record help?

well i have a radio shack brand mic witch plugs in the the audio input, well when we record on garage band we only get voice audio in the left none from the right how can we get it from both the right and left?

Mono Track rather than stereo. You obviously recording a stereo source although the mic is only inputting on one side of the stereo input.
