Adding own objects in Pages...

I've been trying to add my own personal object to a Pages document for awhile now and can't seem to figure out how to do it. I've taken just a normal icon that I've downloaded and wanted to place it in a corner of one of my documents, but it doesn't seem to allow it. I'm using iWork '08, and I figured it would be pretty easy, just drag n drop as usual. Any help??

Pages. basic hint:
1. use layout view (View menu > show Layout)
2. drag object to the outer edge of your document.

It should then be dragable on top of your text.
