I have a 60 gig 2.5 hard drive that I took out of my son's macbook when he replaced it with a 250 gig. I purchased an enclosure but had to send it back because the connections didn't match up. How do I find out which enclosures will work? The drive is a 2.5 60 gig Seagate Momentus 5400.2 Can anyone shed a little light on this for me? Any help would be very much appreciated.. joe in NJ

I put my old drive in an Omata enclosure - it's a bit slow as it is only USB but it does not require any separate power supply. Price is about £7.00 +delivery.

It does have a SATA connection, so you could use that with a firewire converter cable (and presumably an external power supply). But I have not tried that option yet.

Indeed, SATA is what you specify when buying.
