I went to turn on my volume in the system preferences and uncheck the mute button (usually the issue when i have no sound) but when i got into the window under the output tab output there was no listing for built-in speakers. in other words my mac is not letting me have any sound because it thinks the built-in speakers are no longer there. i just installed Leopard so i am not sure if this is the problem. anyone have any suggestions?

thanks
