Running 1080p content

I am thinking of getting a Mac Mini to leave hooked up to my TV for the sole purpose of streaming video (over gigabit LAN), can they handle 1080p easily?

Max resolution for the Intel GMA 950 in the Mini is 2048x1536 at 75 Hz. So not a problem!

Yea, the Core Do's work fine too for displaying HD content. I wouldn't recommend it if you are going to do multitask with watching HD content but if you're using it like a media center hub, it will perform nicely.

I know it can handle the resolution, I meant actually running 1080p HD files =p

bryphotoguy: Yeah it will just be sitting there to run as a media center, only thing it'd be doing is playing video files on the TV

Be sure to check out external sound cards if you are going to want 5.1 or greater surround sound.
