Trying to confirm PAL format DVD from iDVD, iMovie

Hello all,

Having problems confirming PAL format output with iMovie. iMovie help describes outputting a quicktime file in PAL format no problem. iDVD will then create a PAL format DVD with the quicktime PAL file no problem.

The resulting PAL format DVD will then play on my USA purchased DVD player but with lower quality (due to the quicktime file conversion?). I would expect a true PAL format DVD should not read or play on my USA DVD player. Any help would be appreciated.

Also, is there a way to switch the iMovie project from NTSC to PAL so I don't have to output a (lower quality) quicktime file?

Thanks!
Paul
