I have found information regarding stopping an NTFS volume from mounting at startup, but nothing about HFS or Fat-32 drives.

I have 2 drives that I don't need every day and don't need to have mounted automatically. One is HFS+ and one is Fat-32. I would really like to stop them from mounting at startup. Does anyone know how to accomplish this?

OS 10.5.1

Edit: Maybe should have mentioned these are both partitions on one external USB HDD.

You could just switch it off

If you need it later Disk Utility can manually mount it

Right, sorry, I forgot to mention that there is a third partition on the drive which I DO use every day. Otherwise, that would be a very good solution.
