resizing icons in finders 'search for all images'

just noticed something interesting. if you go to the finder window search tab 'search for' and choose 'all images' there is a resizing slider to adjust the size of the images in thumbnail view. i actually thing thumbnail view is the best way to view lots of images. why the heck hasn't apple put this feature into the normal finder window when in icon view???

There is an icon slider, it can be accessef from the little gear icon
