Unpacking .rar files (PC VS. Mac)

simple enough question. I have a .rar file, and I unpack it with my mac, and I get some other type of file, e.g. a dmg.. But then I take that same .rar file and unpack it with a pc. is it possible that that file will turn out to be a different type? E.G. an iso file?

no, if it is a .dmg. It is mac.

No it stays as .dmg as the file was made for mac.
