How can I tell what HD I'm on?

I copied my internal HD to an external (made bootable) and tried booting off it.

Now, I'm booted up and everything's fine but for the life of me I can't tell what HD I'm on! It's a bir sluggish but is that my only indicator? There's got to be a way to tell.

If you have the answer, please drop a quick reply.

Thanks

BTW, I'm on a PowerBook G4 / Leopard using a WD USB external

OK, I thought I was booted off my external so I saved a document to my documents folder and restarted (which should automatically boot of the internal HD). I checked to see if the document was there and it was! Does this mean I was not running on my external when I saved it?

Someone throw me a bone here!
