hi guys

after braking my macbook i am going for an upgrade for a pro but i dont know if i should get the 2.4 for about £1000 uk from ebay or the 2.6 for almost £600 uk more is the .2 upgrade worth the cash?

i plan to be upgrading the ram to 4gb and using bootcamp to run xp for 3d studio work and photoshop and website work in osx i will also be using some dj programs and final cut pro also in osx.

so what do you guys think is the upgrade worth the price?

If you are only getting a CPU bump for that much more money, then I'd say no. Double-check your other specs though. If you are getting a better graphics card with more memory on it also, then I'd lean more towards a yes.

I am in the UK and with 2 gigs of ram in my 17" I am not going to bother with 4 gigs for the moment. But it is as cheap as £78 inc. delivery for 4gb.

Besides if you get the 2.4 you will get the 256mb graphics anyway. I have a 200gn 7200rpm hard-rive and my wife's 17" has the 5400rpm 250gb HDD.
