I know threads on boosting Ram have been numerous, but i cant seem to find the info i need.

My MBP model is a MacBook Pro2,2, but is 2.33GHz, core 2 Duo, currently with 2 x 1GB DDR2 in each slot.

When i bought the system i was told this could take up to 3GB. So i guess to reach that 3GB limit, i need to put in a 2GB card and remove one of the 1GBs.

I have been checking this site: http://www.4allmemory.com/search/apple/index.cfm and for a 2.33GHz machine it says no 2GB cards available, but for the 2.2GHz there is a 2GB card.

If my machine can accept 3GB and I have not been misled when i bought my apple, Can somebody please recommend which card i should be getting, ie tech specs, not brand? [but any brand recommendations well received]

Thanks

You can get any 2GB DDR2 chip as long as it matches the speed of the other one. Chances are you have DDR2 667Mhz, so just get that and you will be fine.

thanks.
is the pin config the same as other 15.4 inch MBPs?
for example, is this chip suitable?

what's the word on an anti-static wrist strap?

I can't seem to find a memory card that list as being compatible to my exact model of MBP. For example i found THIS ONE, but my model is not listed.???

I work for 4allmemory.com. Thanks for the heads up! Yes, the other posters are correct. The 2 GB module you found for the 2.2 will work for the 2.33.

We've updated our site and now the Macbook Pros have the right available memory listed.

Cheers,

Justin

Actually i finally got a response from Apple and the memory for the 2.33GHz is slightly different than the 2.2 model. Most macbooks take the PC2-5300 SO DIMM, however the MBP 2.33GHZ accepts this 2GB PC-5300 SO DIMM.
