I went to Wal-Mart to get a gift for a friend, and I was dead set on getting a great gift for him. But, on the way to wherever I was going, I passed the electronics department, and saw a digital camera on sale for $40 (Not a good one, either)I don't know what I was thinking when I bought it, but at some point when I was opening it, I realized I had gotten nothing for my friend.

Now I feel really bad, because I was selfish and unthoughtful, all for a stupid camera I could live without easily.

Has anyone else had a time when they did something like this? I can't stop thinking of how stupid I was to do this. :(:'(

Maybe you could make him some macaroni art. Homemade gifts are always the most special.

Any particular reason you can't return the camera? Wal-Mart has a pretty liberal return policy.

Yeah, take it back and get a gift for your friend. You'll have a better time dealing with having to take it back than dealing with a crappy digital camera.

If you can't return it, you could always take a bunch of pictures and make a collage of things he likes. It might keep you from feeling too guilty and he may actually like it.

I did something like that few years ago. Bought a toy for a friend, and ended up keeping it for myself.

'twas a few years later before I realized what I did was wrong. :(
