I just can't wait for HD-DVD to just go away. I've already got a Blu-Ray player (my PS3), and I can't see the sense in purchasing another player for the few movies that are worth owning on HD-DVD. I just hope it doesn't come down to a battle of cost - if it does, HD-DVD will win hands-down, but capability and quality potential lends itself to Blu-Ray.

What I like about this device is that it does everything. There is no need for a format war other than the Blu-Ray and HD folks want to force one on the public to gouge us for more money. We can live with both and use whatever we want.

This particular one is a breakthrough, if only on price. This is the first one of this class of device I have seen that is priced such that an "average" user might consider purchasing it. It is good to see this - as you say, it means that more are coming.
