I opened up my iPhoto, and was in the process of printing a pic, when I hit preview, and everything locked up. I couldn't shut down or menu drop or anything. I finally force shut it down by holding down the start button for a few seconds. Isn't that problematic? Any issues after that forced shutdown that I have to be concerned about?

yea... but
sometimes the computer may completely lock up, not accepting any input
at that point I think your only option is to hold down the power button

And I don't think you have anything to worry about, I have done this several times to my computer and everything is a-ok
