No sound/mic with Yahoo Messenger??

I just tried yahoo messenger video/audio conferencing. The video works fine but the mic/headphone option is simply not there. When I open iChat the audio/mic works fine. The problem is my whole family uses Yahoo so iChat is useless for me. IChat has the option of using an AOL account but no Yahoo Messenger
Does anyone have a solution?
