Since no one has posted yet I'll tell you a quick fix. You can go to where you have the name registered and have it forward you to the second one.

how do I take a .mac account and transfer it over to a registered domain??

Hey there..
It's actually very easy.
I use godaddy.com which is super cheap.
Create your own unique domain name.
Once you register it allows you to take the website you have currently made at some long and uncool location and mask the name so that it appears as if it is on your own website.
