Hey guys,

Can you give me some help ?

I use a MacBook with OS X Tiger and have a freecom 250GB external hard drive. Is there any way I can get the Mac to back up to the hard-drive like it can back up to CD with the Burn Folder ?

Doing it manually is a hassle !

Thanks for your help,

John.

Yes. Download an application called SuperDuper. It is pretty straight forward. If your external case and HDD are firewire it will copy your HDD and make it bootable.

To boot, connect external, start up and hit the option button, and the external drive and startup drive will appear and select the external.

USB 2 is pretty slow, but it will copy and boot, just give it more time.
