Weak signal on my boat

I live on a boat moored near a cafe with wireless internet. however the signal is weak and often cuts out completely. what can i do to help my g4 laptop keep surfing?

Either that, or pay for your own access with a mobile BB card.

You could also get an access point to grab that signal and boost it for you... Not sure about the intricacies of this setup, but just see if you get one of those access points (airport express is one, but that's gives poor range)

i also think they sell repeaters. i think all you need for them is a power supply and it catches the signal and makes it stronger.
