Why does my MS Word Mac 2004 keep crashing?

Every time it runs for a few minutes and then instantly shuts leaving my typing away on thin air.

Any ideas?

Trash the .plst file for it. If that doesn't help, try uninstalling it (using the uninstaller) and then reinstalling it.

Some times MS office does not like certain fonts, try running it with less fonts installed

Thanks for replies but nothing as technical. Down to my stupidity. I hadn't updated Word. Anyone else has this prob, make sure your up to date.

Kola: You had mentioned that you wanted away from this Bill Gates stuff in another post. Have you given any thought to iWork (Pages,Keynote,Numbers)? It's really good if you aren't always sharing files with Windows users. It does export to Word/ppt/xls, but that can be flaky sometimes. (of course, you can always generate PDFs of your documents for sharing on PCs)

As a mac only software, it is amazing.
