No Bootable Disk Leopard

I had made a bootcamp partition on my MacBook and Installed windows Xp sp2. I deleted the partition through bootcamp and now when I boot up the computer I get the black screen and at the top in white it says "No Bootable Disk" and "insert Cd" something like that. I have gotten rid of the partition so why is it saying that? Does anybody have any idea?

Hold down Option key while booting up and select your Mac HD...

why do i need to do that? I deleted the partition and it still says that. As if its trying to load windows but I deleted it. I just want it to boot up and load osx.

So, when booting up, if you hold down the Option key, can't you see the Mac HD with an arrow below it? Hit enter. After booting into OS X, go to System preferences > Startup disk> and select your mac HD. It should boot right from thereon.
