Installing ram (HELP ME!!!)

ugh. i bought 4 gigs of ram, two 2 gig sticks, installed one of them in the other slot, but i CAN'T get the ram out of the other slot. I pull on the ejector flap but it just won't budge, am i missing something???

i have the iMac intel 2.8ghz 24" screen. I booted it up to make sure the other ram worked and it's now showing 3 gigs. awesome, but i'd like to max it out with the other 2gig stick. i just can't seem to get that other 1gb stick out.

Should just pull out after undoing clips. Here is a how-to and good luck as maybe it is just a tight fitting module:-

what clips? all i have is a flap thing that it says to pull out with

Try pulling the flap a lot harder, but be careful!! It just needs more force than you like to use. trust me!! The same thing happened to me.

It looks like you have to pull on the tab to get the memory to eject...

yes, i know i have to pull a flap. but i just can't pull it hard enough i think, my fingers slip off. i'm going to have to use pliers or something

Or try using a towel. You have to pull pretty hard but it will pop out.

I would not use pliers as the metal may short something out. The towel is a good idea or perhaps rubber gloves would help grip them tighter.

i figured it out, i used one of those things that you use to grip the bottles on a 2liter. i love those things

Good on you Montie. When I said unclip wrong word - untuck untuck untuck.

Now if you want to try something really tight, wait until you replace a superdrive and have to remove the power lead!

I had this problem. Just use a pair of needle nose pliers to pull it out. It works!

It really has no chance of doing that, there is a reason why you unplug everything out of it first.
