needing some help... :(

Hey guys... heres my problem. My mum got this from her work and asked if I could try to figure out whats up with it... I dont know much about hardware on computers, more software, so, heres the pics... I need to know if I can put an IDE drive on it instead of what ever that hard drive is now, plus, what kind of interface cable am I needing? it didnt come with one... :S I have no idea the model of the powermac. I have a quicksilver g4 and tried to do what I could to compare them, but, with how much is unknown about this one... I just go in circles. anyone shoot me some information?

that disk you are showing - was it connected to that internal card (looks like a scsi card) - might be a scsi disk

You can connect ATA drives to the internal connectors on the motherboard (located near to where that disk holding frame is and those power cables)

That machine will only see the first 128 gig of any ATA disc you install though, the cable you need for ata is a standard Paralell ATA cable

That is a 400 Mhz Gigabit Ethernet model. Louishen's URL is correct. You can put in any IDE drive up to 128Gigs. If you want larger you need a OSX Compatible PCI IDE card.

The included drive is a U160 SCSI.

The Ram slots will hold PC-100/133 512Meg Dimms. You can have 4 for up to 2GB RAM.

You are 100% correct. That is where you plug in the old Airport card. I had one in my G4 500Mhz Sawtooth but put it in my G4 Digital Audio.
