What book are you reading right now?

Sorry if there's already one of these. I don't remember seeing one, I did a quick search and didn't see one so thought I may as well.

I guess a good way to do this would be to mention the genre as well, since I'm looking out for some new books to read...

another non-fiction book and if you like linguistics (cos I certainly do) I recommend it

I have a book on eastern religions that's been sitting on my shelf for months. Hopefully I'll be able to get to it over winter break. Gotta finish all those other books I bought months ago too.

Have you read "Old Path, White Clouds" by Thich Nhat Hanh? Great book if you are really into Buddhism. I have been a practicing buddhist for close to five years now.

It's pretty much about Ethics, comparing subjectivism and objectivism as well as humanistic/authoritarian ethics.

I just read Blink by Malcolm Gladwell and also just finished Rise and Fall of the British Empire by James Lawrence.

In the past two or three months Churchill, a Biography by Roy Jenkins; The Meaning of Night, a novel by Michael Cox; New York, An Illustrated History; Quantum, A Guide for the Perplexed, by Jim Al-Khalili; Nonzero, The Logic of Human Destiny, by Robert Wright; London, a short history from Roman times by A.N. Wilson, and currently Two Cheers for Democracy, by E.M. Forster.

There are a couple of others in there somewhere or other, including Chaucer's Canturbury Tales that I'm slowly ploughing through (Middle English on the left, modern English on the right), though it's a tough slog and taking forever. I don't care what anyone says — it's boring.

Just finished:

Post Office by Charles Bukowski - fiction/ Dark Humor, very good

I Am Legend by Richard Matheson - Audiobook, very good, The movie however is not, only average

Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury - fiction, audiobook, good.

Still reading:
The Secret History of American Empire by John Perkins - Audiobook, Non-Fiction, very interesting sequel.

One Bullet Away by Nathaniel C. Fick - Audiobook, Non-Fiction, average

Just Starting:

The Forgotten 500 by Gregory A. Freeman - Non-Fiction.
