Does anybody know how to change the wallpaper of the finder window in Panther? I know it can be done in the icon view but what about the others?

To change the wallpaper: Select System Preferences from the Apple menu. next choose Desktop & Screen Saver from the System Preferences window. From there choose the Desktop tab. You can select from any of the back ground images available.
If you want to place a few of your on pictures as the wall paper. Place a copy of your picture in the following folder. Library -> Desktop Pictures. You can call the file anything you want, just be sure it is a jpeg file.

Thanks for the speedy advice. I'm looking to change the background of the finder window specifically. I believe it can only be done in one view but I just wanted to be sure.
