Trouble w/ WRT54G

Hey anybody out there have trouble seeing the internet with this router? I can't get on tried static IP, Automatic, you name, it router is 10.1.1.1 subnet
is xxxx.255, using charter pipeline can't figure it out? Power book g4 17" any help is great thanks.
