Microsoft Word Promlems

whenever I run word (or any other microsoft office programs, for that matter) my MacBook goes really, really slow. Is there anything I can do about this? Sometimes it can start to go at a reasonable speed, but switching to another application is extremely difficult. Any suggestions?

simple solution is dont use any MS programs... lol

If you facing this problem only when running MS programs then check the programs which are using the CPU& memory when you launch these. That should give you an idea if MS products are causing the problem or something else.

technically speaking Word 2004 is made for PowerPC architecture and it emulates through Rosetta on a Intel Mac. I know I hate it to but have to have something that can be compatible with PCs.

Word 2008 is much slower than Word 2004
