My girlfriend is going home to canada for christmas and i want to see her on xmas day via webcam and wanted to know what if any applications support webcams. I used to have msn messenger for mac and i know that didn't and now i use Adium and i haven't found anything to suggest that adium does either.

My only other option is to set us both up on skype but i would really like an app that i can use msn on and webcams.

On a second note, what webcams are good for macs, maybe one with a built in mic?

thanks

Joe

I have tried adium's webcam option and it stunk on my intel Imac. Only gave outlines. I use AMSN. It works great for me anyway...

Just to add a little note.

SKYPE is great. The connection is much better than MSN Messenger. In my opinion. Skype is free and *knock on wood* extremely stable for me.

Big time fan of Skype here also, it's the only messenger I use my webcam with anymore.

I did not know that Skype would work with a webcam, but will it connect to friends that use MSN?

I love Macs but this seems always one of the problems, when friends with PCs just think "its the norm" to Vidchat with friends around the world with MSN.:Angry-Tongue:
