Automation in GarageBand?

Is there any way to use automation to change the bpm or panning in garage band?

Like if I'm working on a song where the tempo changes?

click on the "arrow" on the track. A window opens under the track name.
Pull down that menu and select "track pan" and do your automation.

For tempo, you select the automation on the Master Track. To show master track select - "Track/show master track" key command: apple- B

I do that but I only have volume and pitch.
