Whenever I play chess against the computer, it will be (his? her? its?) turn, but it will just stop. The app is not frozen, I checked, but it should not take that long. And I know the thing isn't "thinking" because the activity monitor is at like 99-100% idle.

Same thing happens to me. I've noticed it's when I have the computer in a situation where it will lose a piece no matter what move is made. I'd love to see someone answer this one!!

open up preferences and change the way it plays to slightly easier and it starts playing again.

what really bugs me is how it will only have a king left and i'll have a few queens (if i'm playing on easy trying to kill time) and it says stalemate

Wow, and I thought I was alone on this problem. It's quite frustrating.

Does anyone know why this happens? I would expect better from an app that was included with the OS.
