I want to extend my monitors' cables.

Reason being is because I want to place my noisy G4 out of the room to record vocals in the room on my condenser mic.

I'm thinking of getting this for the DVI connector on the mac

This wire will work on 1 of my monitors (Acer TFT). The other monitor has the VGA wire soldered into it (Its an old CRT monitor). How would I extend this? Just a standard VGA (Female-Male) extension?

Last time I tried, I experienced extreme 'Ghosting'. Maybe because the cables I had were cheap!

Any help will be good!

Standard VGA extension should do, try and lay then away from too many power cords and avoid really cheap ones
