Your Mac's Specs
24" iMac 2.4 Ghz 4GB RAM 320GB HD, 15" Macbook Pro 2.53 Ghz 4GB RAM 320 GB HDD
The external drive is receiving enough power, the light reacts to operations going on, and recognized in Disk Utility but will not mount with FW400, 800 or USB.

I receive the message: (thumb1) when I try to repair it, and don't know where to go from there.

Other peripherals mount fine using the same ports

Specs:
iMac 2.4 Ghz 2GB RAM
320 GB HD
Tiger 10.4.11

Hmm, are you able to plug it in to another machine? It might be worth finding out whether it's the drive or the machine causing the trouble.
