Mouse freezes

I just bought a new iBook and I bought one of the Apple mouse.
When I'm in Word or my email program, the mouse repeatedly
freezes. ANd the only way to unfreeze it is to click the touchpad on
the iBook. I have tried 3 or 4 different Apple mouse at work -- all the
same type -- and they all freeze as well. What to do?

yes, i have the some problem, but it happend after the ibook wake up form sleep.are there any way to resolve it?
