How to do clean and complete uninstallation?

Your Mac's Specs
24'' iMac 2.8 GHz, 4 Gig RAM, 500 GB HD. 15.4'' MBP, 2.6 GHz, 4 Gig RAM, 200GB HD, iPhone 8GB.
I realized that just dragging the whole application files is not really doing a complete uninstallation. So how do you guys do it?

You can search the board for other solutions, but in most cases. Just look in your preferences folder for the configuration for the application you trashed. These file tend to be about 4k in size. So you don't have to delete them if you don't want too.
