Can some shed some light on this please....When tranferring data from one Mac to another, Will all data be transferred including user account and software? I haven't tried it yet because I am scared I will not be able to transfer all my software and user account to my new Mac Pro. Please advise.

are you using migration assistant, in applications > Utilities?

that's the best way to make sure all your settings make it to your new machine

as to the software - if you have leopard look at the sticky on apps that still have issues with 10.5

Another way is to copy your HDD contents to an external drive by USB 2 or Firewire. You can use an application such as Carbon Copy Cloner or Super Duper to copy the drive, do a clean install of Leopard and transfer your files.

Use Migration Assistant. It will do exactly what you want.
