Mail keeps rejecting Verizon password

Recently I purchased an iPhone and every time it checks for mail (when I have mail open on my Macbook) a window comes up that states verizon's pop server has rejected the password. My keychain has my current password so I can't figure out what the deal is? Has anyone had experience with this and is there a work-around? Thanks.

I too have the same problem. I updated to the .1 release of Leopard but that didn't help. I finally moved on and am using Thunderbird and have had no problems since. I tried several things, but nothing worked.
It's to bad that what would appear to be a simple thing of remembering passwords is a problem. I never had this issue with Tiger either.

DR, what does Thunderbird do? I might have to move on too as it's still a problem. It pops up every time my iPhone checks or receives mail.

Sorry for the delay in reply, but Thunderbird is another email client that is free. It comes from the same foundation as Firefox.
