GarageBand voice recording

Hello, I recently got my first mac, the new iMac and I'm loving it so far, just a basic question with GarageBand. You know how when you are recording and the metronome is clicking, how can I get rid of that clicking when I'm playing my song that I created back? Like the final version, the clicking just makes it sound awful, I tried looking at preferences but I couldn't find anything. Thanks, Chase.

In the menubar, Control > Metronome. Or Command + U.
