Ram = performance?

Hi.

I am running Logic Audio on my PB with 512mb ram. When I get a little busy and have a lot of plugins and audio files running, my PB gets noticeably stressed out. I am now concidering doing the "big bump" and get a total of 1 gb ram.

Can anybody tell me about their experiences with 512mb vs 1gb ram?
You don't have to be a music user, as long as ur running heavy applications.

I just bumped my 1.5ghz PB up to 1gb from 512mb and it loads songs up in garage band faster, haven't really done anything too intense with it other than that. I just got back from vacation and put the RAM in the day I left.
