I need to send a fax, but it kind of needs to be anonymous. I have never sent a fax. I was wondering like when you send one does it show who it is from? Like what is added to it when it is sent? Is there a way to hide who it is from. Haha this sounds super shady, but it isn't!

Most faxes will include the number of the fax machine that sent it. That number can be traced. Some will include the business name as well. Other than that, just the fax is sent.

I would not recommend it for a ransom note.

As long as we're talking about something legal, I would say go to your local library or Fedex/UPS Store. It will have their info on it, but you don't have to include your info.

Unless you have something to hide regarding the content? Then i would suggest not sending a fax.
